For us that means art that can be an escape from the ordinary, the freedom to create. We think of it as imagination taking flight. IX Art Park is a place where the joy of magic and wonder can be shared with the community.
meet the artist: jesse jentzen
I realize a lot of you may have found me through social media or haven't worked with me yet, and I wanted to have a chance to introduce myself on a more personal level. My name is Jesse Jentzen. I am a full-time muralist and tattoo artist- you can see my work displayed throughout my social media. I have been doing art as a primary career for the last 10 years and I currently manage an art studio with my business partner Aly. I also teach middle school and adult art classes throughout the year. My art style is grounded in realism with an emphasis on working within a collaborative process—working closely with residents, historians, cultural leaders, and organizations to ensure that each project reflects both authenticity and collective voice. However, when I'm not working on art related projects, I like spending my time with my friends and family and exploring the world. My hobbies include watching anime, surfing during the summer, hiking, and painting both small/large scale projects. I also am always down for a last-minute concert, awkward dancing or any book suggestions. @JesseJenzten
