Emotif by Michael Moxham is a two part exhibit featuring the new and updated sound scapes for The Looking Glass exhibit and a display of the artist's new abstract oil on canvas collection.
Michael Moxham is a sound designer, music producer, and audio engineer currently residing in Charlottesville where he directs Spectacle Sound and Bridger Arts. He has been creating sound professionally for more than 25 years and has released music across international borders and genres.
“I wanted the sound to be both immersive and surprising here. I therefore approached from both the organic and the unnatural to create familiarly surreal textures and exciting emotional connections."



The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (1920) Silent Thrills at the Looking Glass
Come see the movie that shocked the world, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, considered the first horror film. It is also the collision of Art and film history, with its mesmerizing expressionist sets.
The screening will feature live piano accompaniment by UVA Film Lecturer Matt Marshall.
