Beatrix Ost

"Beneath the Robes of adult life, there lies the child we once were, always ready to reopen the door to our early world of timeless adventure"

When Beatrix arrived in New York in 1976, she was already an accomplished artist and actress. Since studying art with Oskar Kokoschka in Salzburg, she has exhibited internationally and appeared in leading roles on both stage and screen. Her goddess sculptures will engage all your senses. Listen to the sounds.

Let yourself be drawn into the dance of music.

Beatrix’s Full ARtist Statement

Beneath the robes of adult life there hides the child we once were, always ready to reopen the door to our early world of timeless adventure.

Check reality at the door. Feel yourself transported into the world of mystery and wonder. Reawaken your childhood. Engage all your senses. Feel free to fly. Listen to the sounds. Let yourself be drawn into the dance of the music. Rediscover your innocence and dwell in curiosity. Curiosity is the key to life!

When Beatrix Ost arrived in New York in 1976, she was already an accomplished artist and actress. Since studying art with Oskar Kokoschka in Salzburg, and psychology and homeopathy in Munich, she has exhibited internationally: In Search of the Goddess, Ten Years of Solitude, Beauty is Harsh, Love and Other Obstacles, and Animal Attraction, to name a few.

She is the author of short stories and books including My Father’s House, More Than Everything, and her most recent, The Philosopher’s Style. She also designs jewelry for Article 22, which works to fulfill Princess Diana’s wish to eliminate the remains of landmines in war-torn Laos.
