Museum Team staff may work in several capacities in the exhibition including as Concierge and/or Bartender.
Museum Team Members are eligible for one or more of the following roles based on age and experience.
Concierge/Visitor Services
Duties:
Greet visitors.
Sell admissions tickets and check in advance purchase tickets.
Provide information to visitors about rules, upcoming events, Ix Art Park history and more.
Monitor crowds to help ensure the safety of guests and staff.
Clean areas of the building including but not limited to the lobby and restrooms.
Check that objects in the exhibition are in the correct place and exhibits are functioning properly.
Provide guests with information about the experience narrative and general information
Help ensure the safety of visitors.
Assist visitors where needed.
Report damage to the Director
Acknowledge, greet, and interact with guests throughout their visit
Respond to injuries and emergencies appropriately
Record maintenance issues.
Help keep the exhibit, bathrooms, lobby, and piazza clean
Help prep and restock art bar activities
Perform job responsibilities with a creative flair that elevates the exhibition narrative
Bartender/Visitor Services (21+)
Prepare alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages
Check identification and confirm guest meets legal drinking age
Comply with all food and beverage regulations
Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
Remain knowledgeable on menu and merchandise offerings and make recommendations based on guest preferences
Collect money for all orders and handle all cash and credit card transactions according to procedure
Maintain high standards of organization and cleanliness throughout the space
Process POS (point of sale) purchases for food, beverage and merchandise items
Report emergencies to the manager
Respond to injuries and emergencies appropriately
Collaborate with other team members to create and maintain a pleasant environment for guests
Handle cash and balance cash drawers
Maintain a clean work and seating area by removing trash, cleaning tables, and washing equipment
Stock, organize and clean the storage area

Ability to work in low light and blacklight environments for prolonged periods
Ability to self-manage, adhering to hours and quality standards
Demonstrated good judgment in difficult and complicated customer situations
Demonstrated ability to maintain an appropriate, professional demeanor in emergencies, difficult customer interactions, and interactions with personnel
Experience with point of sale systems, and responsibly handling cash
Demonstrated ability to serve as a positive representative of the IX Art Park Foundation with the ability to understand and communicate the organization’s mission and values
Willingness to develop advanced business communication skills
Willingness to participate in training and classes to develop new skills

Work Environment and Physical Demands
Employees may be required to lift up to 20lbs. Employees will comply with company and OSHA standard workplace safety protocols. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Work Schedule
This position may have shifts that vary. An employee may be scheduled 5-10 hours a day, based on business need.
