Dj lineup

Gustavo

Beginning his career as a Disc Jockey aka music selector in Italy back in 2007 Gustavo began with belt driven turntables in the earlier stages of his career. Starting ground up with local town events, bars & small clubs Gustavo would soon perform sets at the popular Getton Box and the chance to open for Djs of the caliber of Joe Claussell at the Umbria Beat Festival. After moving to the United States he reprised DJ career in 2013 performing in the most popular bars & venues all over the Outer Banks NC, Raleigh, Greensboro, Virginia Beach, Richmond, Elizabeth City & Washington DC. On May 6th Gustavo is taking a break from running a weekly residency at the OBX Brewing Station to headline May 6th UTOPIA and unleash over a decade of experience.

COPA VIDA

Copa Vida is a DJ and producer based in Charlottesville, Va and the founder of the Sounds of Love Collective. Combining instruments and melodies from all over the world, he is known for his one-of-a-kind DJ sets. Whether he’s playing an organic house set, or a deep, progressive, and tribal set, he takes listeners on a journey and uses music to connect with them on a deeper level.

ELARIS

Where “techno” and “EDM” often sit on opposite sides of the table, DJ  sets by Elaris defiantly sit on the table between the two. A look into his library of music and you’ll see a chaotic junk drawer of Garage, Techno, Industrial, Trance, House, Disco, Minimal, Jungle, Bass and Drum N’ Bass, Movie Samples and Studio demos — hear his sets — and this seemingly unorganized collection music turns into a introspective, evocative, heavy hitting and suggestive soundscape.

Ethan (Elaris) maintained multiple residencies from 2007 and 2011 at Techno, and Industrial clubs before taking a step back from djing all together in 2014 to turn his attention to work as a ghost-writer, synthesis/ sound designer, and pianist. Time spent in Nantes, London, and San Francisco would later inspire his return to Charlottesville to host a series of invite only events that would mark the beginnings of what would later become WhereHouse and now a return to performing once again as a DJ.

HVNNA

Coming from suburban streets mixed with a passion for hip hop beats, Hvnna brings an upbeat array of bass and funky house tunes to the floor playing the works of Valentino Khan, Seth Troxler, Funkin Matt and Tchami to name a few.

Though she is new to the scene to formally perform as dj her deep ties in the electronic music community has seen her playing house parties and popups at festivals and bigger venues all along the eastern shore. Initially influenced by the crews of RobotHeart and Distrikt her aim is to expand the love of music across all communities.

“Love is the answer. Don’t let the beat stop.”
