
About the Role
Core Responsibilities
Create and provide timely reports and donor data to support fundraising efforts
Research donor prospects (individual, foundation, corporate) and create donor profiles
Schedule and prepare Executive Director, Director of Programs, and/or Board Members for Prospect Meetings
Manage direct mail projects
Work with Executive Director on acknowledgment process, creating maximum donor stewardship and efficiencies where appropriate
Assist Director of Programs and Events Planner with the management of development/ marketing/ engagement events (manage attendance, work with vendors, etc.)
Serve as a resource for donors and volunteers, providing timely information, etc. as needed
Serve as a passionate ambassador for the Ix Art Park and its mission
Other duties as required to meet the needs of the organization
Foundation & Mission Strategy
With the leadership team, position Foundation for continued growth and relevance, informing strategies for grants, major partners, artists, and organization cultivation.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position does not require supervisory responsibility.
Requirements
Minimum of one year of nonprofit fundraising and/or marketing experience
Excellent writing and interpersonal skills
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Must use tact and courtesy in dealing with staff, clients, volunteers, and guests
Must possess a spirit of cooperation and enthusiasm
Must attend all mandatory meetings and specified training sessions
Must maintain confidentiality
Comfortable communicating with a wide variety of stakeholders: board members, donors, non-profit organizations, vendors, clients, volunteers, etc.
Excellent organizational and project management skills with attention to detail
Ability to work independently and within a small team setting
Ability to attend some events/meetings on evenings and/or weekends
About the FOUNDATION
The Ix Art Park Foundation is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization located in Charlottesville, Virginia. Ix Art Park seeks to empower its community through curating welcoming spaces that allow everyone in the community a safe space to exist creatively. The Foundation manages a 24-hour free mural and sculpture art park, Virginia’s first permanent immersive art experience, as well as several community-driven series like its Saturday Farmers Market. The Foundation believes that everyone is an artist and every artist deserves space to exercise their creativity.
